Overplayed songs we still love
Yesterday, I mentioned in a thread that I really like Sheryl Crow’s “Strong Enough”, no matter how much it’s overplayed. This morning, I heard another
song that was well overplayed in its day and I’ve always liked it. The song was “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls.
I was wondering if anyone else knows of some songs that the evil “Top 40” has played to the hilt but they still believe it’s a great song.
Another one of mine is Uninvited by Alanis Morrisette
Anyone else?

I am leaving, I am leaving, but the fighter still remains

an oldy but goody
I always turn up the radio when I hear The Sundays version of "Wild Horses". They used to over play it on every "easy
listening" station. I don't know if they still do. You're right Susan, I could listen to "Uninvited" everyday and not
get tired of it. I used to play it on my radio show every week back in college.

I used to be SO in love with Harriet Wheeler. I love listening to The Sundays, and I guess (here) they didn't play it so often. Guaranteed if
they did, I'd continue to blast it! Even "Here's Where the Story Ends", "Love", and "Summertime", I
could never get sick of.

I have to say, I love that cover. I could listen to it again and again.
I have to agree with Uninvited also.
Another song would be Nowhere to Go by Melissa Etheridge, for me.
Even after all that rushing around, where we've ended up is the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night. And maybe knowing isn't the
point. Where we're standing right now, in the ruins in the dark, what we could build is anything.

Any Melissa Etheridge song I'll listen to.
Another one: Drive by Incubus

Wonderwall? Yeah! I really love that song, although i find the band to be pompous and stale. They think they're the greatest band in the
world...puh, whatever
But Wonderwall is lovely
A song i have to say is Coldplay's Yellow and The Scientist.
Yellow is twice as good as Wonderwall.
The Scientist-well, i rather listen to AM's version, but the local ''alternative'' station is just overplaying this one
to death. I still listen to it though.
