Cool! At least we know now, nice cover and I like the use of the @#%&! Nice if it was a bit earlier but nevermind! I'm going to Spain on May 30th for 2 weeks so don't know whether to I'd be best preordering or trying to find it in a Spanish record Shop. Wonder what the Spanish for @#%&! is?...

Is this going to be the same release date in the UK? If so, wahoo! I'm going to be restless until then, but I know it'll be worth the wait.

Fantastic! Now, is the avatar really the cover? The proportions look wrong, and...it's kind of ugly.

CAN'T WAIT!

In the meantime, Goldfrapp...

To me, it looks like a mid 20th century advertising graphic . And the arms and legs on the face remind me of a really old environmental film I once saw, which I was actually able to find on Youtube (I love Youtube! <g> )

That Junior Raindrop--he's no @#&* smiler.

But that's it--it reminds me of advertising graphics from 50 or so years ago.

Was listening to FUV in NY today. They played "Fall....Optimist.." Afterward, the DJ said that she had the privilige of hearing the forthcoming album. She called the album "great". But this was not a perfunctory "great". This was a sincere and emphatic "great".

As for the release date: June 3. Technically spring. But, come on- it's June- it's SUMMER.

Isn't it best to release the album as soon as possible? That way, there will be less time for people to access "free" copies? I HATE THAT!

If it's done-release it! We are ready to buy it NOW!!

Sorry. Just love her music!

Cover looks good.

June is a good time to release an album. Early June especially. My favorite time of year. Excitement in the air.

As well as LOVE, eh?

I'm very glad to see a release date finally. And I too love the cover. However, it reminds me of when my daughter was little and she made little people on a piece of paper using her fingerprints. Very cute...and a good counterpoint to the title and thrust of the album.

I'm really excited about this new album. I love the cover (or what I guess is the cover!) and I think it's wonderful that Aimee picks a different illustrator each time. It will be difficult to beat the artwork for "Lost In Space" (this collaboration between Aimee and Seth was a match made in heaven) but I guess that each style contributes to the mood of the record.

As for the music, I've only heard the three songs that Aimee performed during a radio broadcast a while ago, but "Columbus Avenue" sold the album for me. It's just too beautiful.

I'm fine with a release in June. Most records are released during the early Spring or Fall, so it should really stand out.

I was just @#%&! joking; I wanted to use @#&! I'm betting the @#%&! release date has to do with @#%&! marketing strategy.

I go away for a minute and look what happens. Suddenly there's a release date and some Taxali artwork to go with it. God I can't wait for this summer! On with the music and the tour dates!

Yay! Something to look forward to in June.

So from March to May to June... I wonder if, w/ all these release delays, Aimee's learning more and more about the headache that is the business side of music. I wonder if she has more sympathy for the big whigs that she seemed to have so much vitriol toward years ago. Hehe... Doubtful, but I still wonder.

Great ! I'm so looking forward to this !!! And it's nice that management has already changed the headline of the message board. It took months before they changed the LIS illustration for TFA, so kudos for being faster this time around !

I think a June release is perfect. There are not many albums released around that time of the year... so there is less competition as well.

does @#%&*! have to be read as "fucking"? Or the title is simply "Smilers"?
