Aimee on "Live From The Artists Den" this month (in many areas)

For those of us in the half of the country with public television stations who have picked up the show, "Live From The Artists Den", check your listings 'cuz in many areas this is the month Aimee's show airs. Here in Mpls/St. Paul, the show is April 15. Crowded House is the following week and tonight is Patty Griffin!

I'm pretty sure that whenever your affiliate began airing the series will determine when Aimee's episode will be on, so check with your local member services for your air date. I think Will put the PBS link to the show on the main website about a month and a half ago, but here it is again to see if any stations in your area are carrying the show:

Still waiting for Chicago to hit the list. I contacted both Artists Den and the local PBS station. They said by April they would be showing Artist Den. But looking at the link you provided airzots, Chicago is not on the list. That Patty Griffin show was great! I saw it when it was released on Ovation TV. What a great performer Patty is.

I can't wait either!

Does anybody know how long it is. I thought I heard somewhere that it was only an hour, but I'm not sure if that's true or not.

Thanks.

Thanks Airzots and Lemko!

Addition:

Hey that was terrific!

I liked the hand movement -- the way she moved her right hand to paint the song.

I loved seeing Paul Bryan sing the duet on Ballantines !!!!!

Jamie Edwards sure can play the keyboard. It jumped out at you.

Jealous. That sounds so good! It doesn't show here in the UK so I'm guessing we have to hope it'll become available online

LOVED the artists den special. two best parts were definitely when she explained the interesting history behind 'little tornado' and when she decided her hand would do some interpretive dancing. nice song selection too...first time we've heard stuff like 'todays the day' in that capacity.

This show will be re-broadcast in the NYC area tonight on NYCTV (WNYE) at 11 pm... good "comfort viewing" on a cold, wet evening.

35 minutes into watching Aimee Mann perform tonight from the Artists Den (previously recorded)
after not listing to her music since Voices Carry ~ Til Tuesday ~ 1985 ~
I was left with a few impressions.

1. She seemed to keep to her roots ~ not modeling out with pure sexuality
she still sweet to look at and she's 48..49?

2. Songs were nice but give us a tune man ~ Let one rip

3. Could be at a wine and cheese place listing to this
Don't get me wrong she has a pleasant sound but like many women
singer song writers there's a tendency to be a lot of la di da ..ba...ba ...emm

wwhoo whhooo....zzzzzzzzz
Do you know what I'm saying
It works for her and there are those who dig it ~ so more power to her.

4. She's a survivor a career that's been around from 1985
and I'm sure it started before say's it all.

Bravo Aimee Mann

Thanks! Just watched it again. That is such an extraordinary performance. The keyboardist is amazing. I really hope he's on the next CD.

Actually, I just saw it for the first time tonight and was blown away!!! I would LOVE to get a DVD of this. I'm learning the guitar and 'Today's the Day' is on my list. Seeing her close the show with that made my year!!!

It was a little disheartening to see such a somber crowd, though. They seemed to get into it more as the show progressed, but I would have been a screaming fool! lol!
