Calling It Quince
Hey all you crazy kids with your musical pretensions... Happy 2010! A new decade with all sorts of new musical possibilities...
Unfortunately, I am gracing this board for the last time for real now, though I have enjoyed my infrequent belligerent visits here. I hate to inform
my detractors, but we berried the hatchet between myself, Mr. Penngerine, and the Manngo over the holidays. Late Christmas eve, to be precise. But I
am happy to inform you that none of what I put forth on this board in the past had anything to do with the actual ego clash between me and Aimee. It
had to do with very small petty personal foibles that is nobody else's business but mine, hers, and her husband. I sincerely doubt I'll be
moving forward as friends with those two, but at least we finally achieved some sort of closure. It's in Aimee's nature to hold onto a
grudge rather than let it go, so I'll just take what I can. I was indeed Michael's good friend for quite a bit, which made me her friend
too, but that past is the past. Don't worry about me... I've been taught by the best. And maybe even taught back a little.
Anyway, fare thee well, kids. All's well that ends well... there is no jam that can't be gotten out of by just doing a little dance on the
head of a pin. But enough with my Smilers references. What do I know about that album anyway? : )

Hey you yourself, with all your self-delusiuonal musical pretensions!
"Unfortunately, I am gracing this board for the last time for real now..."
I'll believe it when I see it.
"But enough with my Smilers references. What do I know about that album anyway?"
Nothing obviously, except what the voices in your head told you.
"But I am happy to inform you that none of what I put forth on this board...had to do with very small petty personal foibles that is
nobody else's business but mine, hers, and her husband."
Then why splatter it all over the internet, much less her own forum?
"I was indeed Michael's good friend for quite a bit, which made me her friend too."
I'm sorry, but friends aren't made by proxy.
And with friends like this, who needs....friends?

I've been saying that for years...
I, for one - and prolly the only one - will miss the vibrancy and energy with which the board responds to all of the postings by this person
(persons? there seem to be many, many personalities in there...let's just call them 'Sybil'...) Just when things get a bit stale and
I go off researching artist royalties and label bs, Sybil comes back and lights the fuse.
Well, I guess I can only miss it if it truly stays gone, but that certainly hasn't been Sybil's M.O. before. Why should we expect anything
different in the new year? I'm sure we'll see Sybil return when Aimee 'steals' enough new songs to put out an album...

Scary thing is I just did a google lookup on Errin, and he's got over 1,000 followers on Twitter! A marketing genius?

Just don't feed the troll.
I encourage moderators to lock up this thread - just like everything else penned by that asshole. It's just pointless crap.

Yeah, I'd say leave it open as evidence for the eventual restraining order and involuntary commitment proceedings . . .

That's if Brainless doesn't delete it himself first, if he isn't locked out of his profile by the mods.
Oh and Airzots, other oldies but goodies that might apply here, besides "With friends like this, who needs...friends?"....
"Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out!"
...and my favorite, from an old friend:
"NICE FLOUNCE!"
* "flounce" meaning to write a whiny "I'm leaving!" post.

Jill - I vote to leave the post - I'll miss the somewhat cheezy fruit puns if all records are deleted. And eventually the furor will die down
and some day in a year or two, some mysterious one-poster will dig it out, add a one sentence comment and stick on a creepy 'pret travaux'
url. Something to look forward to while we wait for a new album.
humanagain - "Flounce", eh? Not bad. In my HS days (back when you raised your hand to get your teacher's attention instead of
texting them) if someone was flailing about trying to get attention we'd just look at them with a great measure of disdain and slowly ask,
"Must you?" Dunno why I was thrown all the way back to HS and desperate pleas for attention, but it seems to fit...
Here's a way to steer the thread slighty off kilter (which somehow actually fits this thread...) What are you favorite ways of saying one
has lost one's marbles?
-All the lights are on, but nobody's home...
-Has a full six-pack, but is just missing that plastic thingy to hold 'em all together
-Some village somewhere is missing their idiot

Okay, I vote for keep the thread, but lock Rotten Fruit's account up so he can't access it to delete the thread or edit his post.
Hmmmm "favorite ways of saying one has lost one's marbles?"
How about:
"If you could look into his head you'd see a sign that says 'Room For Rent.'"
"One fry short of a Happy Meal"
"Crazier than a bag of hammers" *
"Doesn't have both oars in the water"
"Elevator doesn’t quite make it to the top floor"
*original is "dumber" than a bag of hammers, but I think "crazier" works fine too.

Nobody said the message board would be a bowl of cherries.
Sure this guy might be bananas, but orange you glad we have a few bad apples here to spice things up?
I say kiwip this tread up, and not allow it to be deleted, but let people add to it, as a monument to all the fruitcakes on the board.
Peach and love,
Will

Just when you think it's safe to go back in...that's a dangerously high pun-to-content ratio there Will. That'll either get you
added to the pariah list or invited to dinner at my mom's house on St. Patrick's Day. Which may be one in the same...

Honestly, can anyone explain to a novice (me), just what the start of this thread is supposed to be about, and who, as this member has only posted
once?
how ridiculous!

He has posted under several different usernames here; this is far from his first post, and it's the same sort of self-important, delusional,
condescending schlock each time. It's a long story and I'm just too lazy to type it all out, sorry.
But basically all his posts go about like this:
"Greetings, all you little people who are lesser than myself! Blah blah blah me me me me me. *insert fruit nicknames* Aimee has stolen her
ideas and lyrics from me for Smilers blah blah blah me me me me me I'm leaving and you will never hear from me again blah blah blah yada yada ad
nausem *insert fruit nicknames* I'm leaving and you will never hear from me again waaaahhh I really mean it this time, really me me me and my
yellow teeth will never grace your presences again so don't worry about me *insert fruit nicknames* waaaaaaahhh *flounce* "
That about sums it up.

Actually, that pretty much sums the history up pretty well...except the 'flounce', that's new.

My favourite posts included one about alleged Smilers-related "coincidental" anagrams. But this one about the alleged Christmas Eve summit
is also pretty high up there in the rankings.

You're right, guys, this is actually kind of funny. I just get the feeling we're feeding the troll's ego, that's all. But
if it keeps him off the street... then the world will be a better place.
